OUR HOUSE…in the middle of our street. A NEW VIDEO of the house transformation

You all knew it was coming!!!! I’ve been diligently taking photos of every phase of the house facelift to ultimately do a timeline video, and I just got it completed today!!  You will see a number of brand new shots taken yesterday towards the end of the video that show the BEFORE and AFTER versions taken with my wide angle lens (causes a bit of distortion but really shows the overall house pretty well)

I hope you all enjoyed watching the house morph right along with us… (or at the very least were mesmerized by the orangeness of it all !!! LOL!)  I usually take the summers off from my jewelry biz to catch up on the house and yard , and you know how I love to blog, so this was the perfect chance to share a little of my outdoor “art” as well!!

  1. Sandra, This is awesome. I enjoyed watching the video of the before and afters. Your home is most beautiful. I can feel the Chi all around your home. While sitting in your garden, you must feel such happiness and peace. It takes work, but so worth it. I must visit your other sites and check out your jewelery and scarves. I love the chow scarf design you have posted on Facebook. Chows are so regal and the colors you have for the background of the scarf is beautiful. Thanks again for sharing . Also Hugs to your fur babies : )
I am a contact of yours on Pandas Unlimited. I enjoy your pictures you send . I don’t always comment, but I sure enjoy receiving.
    Happiness always,
    Ramona

  3. Sandy, I love your house & the video was terrific. However…I can’t get that song out of my head. LOL! You inspired me to go through old pictures of our house & all the changes we have made in the last 30+ years.

  4. Hi auntie Sandra, my compliment for the video!! I was waiting for you to finish up quickly the house so I can come over and spend one day with my 2 new friends.. Can’t wait to meet them!!!
I see in the video that I could have a little place in the garden to play with them.. even if we have to run between the flower vases in the oriental garden……. Well they say we are from China.. and we like all this oriental decorations around !!
You did a fantastic work on your house, nice color ! I do love the mirror with the chow design .. we I pretend is me ……

We have a very different house. In Italy we don’t have houses made of wood like in the USA.
I leave in a 2 story house and I have to chase my mom up and down the stairs… Specially at night..
I sleep next to her bed ..with my other 2 friends and the cat … I love that !!
I hope you come over to visit us some day, we have a different color paint on our house ,, hope you like it anyhow..
You are welcome any time !!
Well, is almost time for my mom to go to work in the ambulance for the night… I will miss her tonigh…
I send you tons of love from all of us, and big kisses!!!
    Your, Shirin.

  5. Woo Hoo!!! Diana you sneeked in while was writing my comment!! Thank you!!!!! I need to get you out here so we can play around accessorizing the garden!!! REmember our pathway we put in out back? Well it finally needs to be redone after all these years. Not bad to last 12 years over all those tree roots!!

  6. Jan it’s surprising what energy orange can generate!! From emails and comments I have been getting from friends and neighbors, people that don’t even like orange as a general rule are talking about throwing a spark of it in their homes somewhere because it has such a cheerful and warm impact. I remember years ago when I was about 25 or so someone told me they would die before they put an orange flower in their garden!!!! I thought that was a pretty harsh judgement on a color and was determined after that to make orange my “neutral”….lol!

Carrie THANK YOU!! Been so busy and I need to give you a call. Have some panda ideas!!! Pandas would photograph well in this yard but I have to settle for chickadees!

Kristin I totally agree. If I hadn’t gotten all that mauve paint for free from a painter (it was really high quality paint) I would have never gone with it but we were desperate to get rid of the chalky dark brown. Never thought then I would eventually get my orange house. It really is a cheerful color to see coming up the driveway and will be great in our rainy winters too!!!

  7. I love-love-love your video. Everything looks so cheery–I know how much you must love it:))))

  8. Wow! It looks so much more ALIVE than the previous color! Very nice and cheery!

  9. Looks fantastic! I love the house colors, flowers, fountain, sculptures. I’m sure you’re very proud and glad it’s done!
