Balinese Batik designs as wearable art for your neck!!.
The background of each of these pendants is built up over a beautiful shiny black base
which is about 1/8″ thick. Feather light on the neck but heavy enough to give the necklace
some weight to hang properly
The batik fabrics I am using are imported from Bali and are among some of the finest
hand dyed textiles in the world. Every detail…the leaves, flowers and all accents I cut
out one at a time and meticulously apply in permanent layers of watercolor batik goodness until
the desired results are achieved. I really don’t know where I am going with each pendant
until I’m done!!!
The panda is also my own design and is professionally printed for me on the same type of fabric
as the Balinese batiks to pull the design together as though it were printed as a single design
5 teeny Swarovski crystals stud the surface, set into little textile glue “bezels” to assure they always
be sparking and happy! All fabric edges are meticulously finished with a fray proofing to assure your
one of a kind artwork will always look as gorgeous as the day it arrives in your mailbox
Note the black anodized aluminum rings which suspend the pendant. They give this necklace a perfect
amount of motion and cool contrast to the warm textiles
The black satin necklace measures 18″ and was purchased with the beautiful silver tube bail
at the Jatuchek market in Thailand. This necklace really frames the pendant nicely , pulling the
exotic textile theme up into the rest of the neckpiece. There is a sliver lobster clasp at the back
Adorable matching earrings are included in this auction and measure about 1 3/4 ” without the wires
The batik portion of the panda pendant measures 2 3/4″ wide
