ABOVE…A FLEDGLING “VARIED THRUSH” IN THE GARDEN YESTERDAY
Yesterday my friend Jan picked me up and we took the short trek out to AL’S GARDEN CENTER to see how much botanical trouble we could get into. The ultimate goal was to pick up fertilizer for our gardens but we of course found tons of fun things to look at and purchase!
ABOVE IS THE VIDEO I TOOK TODAY OF MY GARDEN AND SOME BABY BIRDS. CLICK THE ARROW TO START THE VIDEO. THERE IS ALSO AUDIO SO TURN YOUR VOLUME ON!
Here I am ABOVE with some stunning geum. This garden center is first class and reminds me so much of our Bachmans Garden centers in Minnesota. There were very few people there midweek and a perfect time to stroll around, drink coffee in their little cafe, and catch up on all sorts of things with Jan. It was a very relaxing “post birthday” treat
Jan admiring this stunning clematis . OMG her jacket looked so good next to them!
One of the many displays in the garden center. Als sells everything from gift items to garden and patio decor
And here’s my Megawatt on my birthday 2 days ago. I think she looked so regal here
A “pot shot” in every sense of the word
The maples and ferns are so beautiful together!
As always I love you sites and all the lovely stuff to do. I am trying to find the time to wash my hair every morning!! I hope you don’t think of me as only writing when I want something, but I have been sort of isolated of late.
Anyway, I recall your camera shopping a few years back and am now finally in the place where my husband, lovely man that he is, is willing to replace the 15 year old digital that we have.
I was wondering if you had any advice. Take your time, but I would also love to hear from you.
If I manage to find even the old camera then I can take a picture of the garden in a box I made for a friend, complete with champagne swilling babies and lights you can turn on and off. Not quite the sama as a real one…….susanne/aka drsuze
Thank you Linda!! I love potting up my perenials now that I live in a climate where they winter over.
Susanne!! OMG it’s been forever!! How are you my friend?? Ohhhhhhhhhh how fun to go camera shopping. Lots of choices out there. Do you need a really portable camera or a large digital SLR? I’ll find out the price range etc from you and we can go from there. You can’t go wrong Canon or Nikon. There are other good brands too but those two are the industry standard
