Yesterday was over 60 degrees here in Portland Oregon and I took advantage of it by getting my storm windows washed, inside and out, as well as adding in a few new goodies to the LIVE CAM area.  I moved my water fountain (cobalt pots to far right) into the picture as well as a fused glass birdbath.  A larger one is being made now.

MORNINGS ARE THE ULTIMATE TIME TO VIEW THE GARDEN AND THE CRITTERS FROM DAWN TILL ABOUT 11:00 AM PST

The squirrels and birds tend to rest in the height of the day and then come back in the later afternoon around 3:30 or so. All that will change as spring approachs when the baby birthing season begins…..then mom and dads everywhere will be foraging for food nonstop.

I’ll be adding some fun links to the LIVE CAM page but here’s one of my faves to start…

I uploaded their bird ID toolbar onto my computer as well as have their entire database of 891 birds on my Iphone…complete with bird calls , and ways to ID birds by color, region, shape etc.  Even if you are not into bird watching this site is worth a peek….a well oiled machine in my opinion…gorgeous  illustrations and photos and  slick navigation.

The bird calls on the iPhone are a riot.  Hopefully I can show you on the LIVE CAM some day how it draws the chickadees down from the trees like flies!!

I”m heading out to look at pansies and primrose for my pots today with a friend!! Will take lots of pix at the garden center!!!!
