A visit to the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden

In the entire 11 years we have lived here in Portland, I  have not once had the chance to visit the World reknowned Rhodie Garden here in town.  I’ve heard so many wonderful things from all my garden friends  but there are just so many places to go on our outings……the rhodies always took a back seat.

A beautiful January day with my son in Portland OR.

The sheer beauty of this place is that it is a strolling park around a stunning lake full of wild and exotic waterfowl. While my son was visiting we spend a long time from late mid day till almost sunset with my 2 cameras taking pix and also wishing the rhodies were in bloom.  The hellebores were just starting to open which reminds me….I need to go look at my own hellebores and see who is blooming!
