Autumn is in the air and we are thoroughly enjoying the crisp nights and warm sunny days, with the promise of awesome future wine vintages in the air as we go on our wine country drives to watch the harvest.  Are you ready for a pictorial roadtrip from yesterdays excursion into Oregons stunning Willamette Valley wine region??

THE GRAPE HARVEST IS A BIT LATE THIS YEAR AND ALL GRAPES ARE HAND PICKED

THE VINEYARDS ARE FULL OF THE SOUNDS OF HARVEST..FIREWORKS, BIRD FLOCK RECORDINGS AND CANNONS GOING OFF CONSTANTLY  TO CHASE AWAY THE BIRDS FROM THE PLUMP RIPE GRAPES

WINTER CROCUS EMERGE FROM THE GROUND..LEAFLESS AT THIS STAGE. HUGE BLOOMS

THE ENTIRE FAMILY GETS INVOLVED IN THE HARVEST

A LARGE PORTION OF OUR WINERIES IN OREGON ARE SMALLER “BOUTIQUE” OPERATIONS
