I’ve been having some fun in the studio this week with my vintage 1950’s lucite beads and a glass fish focal I purchased from an artisan 2 years ago. I was waiting for inspiration as to what to do with this piece…..then of course over time the pendant got packed away and I forgot about it. During the big cleanout of the studio the fishie emerged from the deep and is now part of my “Fishing for Compliments” ensemble
I’ll be listing this piece on the WEBSITE by the time you read this. It is incredibly lighweight due to the nature of lucite. I love the way it frames the face and is such a bold statement piece!

OH MY Jan—I played with ‘pop beads’ too!!! Necklaces-bracelets-ankle bracelets-cat collars. I have to admit, Sandra’s Fishing for Compliments has come a HUGE-LONG WAY from those days—-I LOVE IT!!!!
I love it!!! Great necklace. I also love lucite beads. You can find some wonderful saturated colors in them and they are nice and lightweight. Just plain fun! I’m gonna date myself here. As a kid I loved to play with pop beads. They are the beads that had the stem and ball on either end and snapped together. Do you recall them?
I like it! Like the clors in it, especially the orange. Can never have too much oange for me, it is my fav color to wear. Also like that it looks like it could be a heavy piece and it isn’t! Great piece to wear in the summer or on an island vaction.
