THE 2019 BINDI CHOW CALENDAR – “It all began with a colorful little BINDI Chow Dog in 2016 featured on the back cover….now expanded into the artists’ whimsical wonderful menagerie of animal paintings, the Chows and various dog breeds populate ‘Bindiland’ as Sandras’ most cherished tribe. Every BINDI design is lovingly created by Sandra Miller using a silk painting /batik effect, outlining areas in fine gold, black and white or silver to make the features literally POP from the canvas. Most designs feature a BINDi, or “decoration” on the forehead, which represents wisdom and positive energy in many cultures.”
Thank you so very much to our dear friends Becky Slayton, Judy Slayton as well as the committee of the PACIFIC RIM GOLDEN RETRIEVER CLUB OF OREGON for entrusting me with this multifaceted commission. It was so exciting to work with Goldens again and many subjects close to my heart!!
The main logo to the left encompasses the 4 seasons in our beautiful Pacific NW. Representing the seasons are the iconic tulip fields (spring), our world famous Pinot Noir vineyards (summer), a harvest moon (autumn) and a snow-covered Mt. Hood (winter).
