As you can see above, the door got a fresh coat of licorice black satin paint , all tricked out in the same “Netsuke” window framing. The bizarre thing is that window trim was not painted!! That is the natural color of the vinyl that matches the paint trim almost to a T! See how the purple Coral Bells foliage echos the deep aubergine/orange color combo of my poppies
I can hardly wait to get my plants back where they below to help soften the foundation line. I’m in love with what the black did for the house to give the color more depth

The guys finished the facia trim today in “Netsuke” and did an outline of the black to tie in with the gutters..YUM
Its extremly hard to get a photo of the whole house as only the garage shows from the street at the end of a very long driveway. It’s why I didn’t hesitate on such a daring color….no one sees it but us and we adore it!! You can see a bit of the black gutters here

A litte broader view. I am still not sure where or how I should incorporate a bit more detail on the doors in black or Netsuke without getting too busy looking. I need to do something to break it up but can also use black pots with bamboo in them . The garage doors rarely get opened as this is my glass workshop and exercise room.
