This afternoon after a fun day of strolling around the old city of Chaing Mai..shopping, eating..dodging motorbikes…we came back to the bed and breakfast to soak our tired feet in the wonderful pool here.
As we walked outside our room this big fella greeted us on the balcony post. He was cocking his head just like a puppy!
We saw an incredible amount of super stylish clothing in silk that rivaled the finest of wearable art designer fashions in the U.S. on our stroll….can’t wait to see more and buy a few more things too. We will take some pix of our new beads with the camera phone tonite to show ya’ll

Praying mantis in chiangmai, originally uploaded by electra-cute.
Praying Mantis, lizards.. find any kittens yet??? It is turning into a “Winter Wonderland” here. Had rain for about five hours during the night. So ice on everything. Now it is pouring snow. Looking like everything is closed. Good day for a fire in the fireplace and just watching the Daytona 500. Have a couple of needle felting projects started. Might get one of them finished.
Keep the adventure pictures coming. Thanks for the ones you have posted so far.
So tell us, do you have to go to work if everything is closed????? No power loss we hope! Walked around the Sunday market tonight and saw tons of things….ate a few things and I bought 1 thing—-NOT SO WITH SANDRA!!!! See later pictures!!!
Hugs
Diana and Sandra
Unless John Deere closes we will have to go to work. But it is only Sunday here so there is a day for this to go away. And do you need ICE? Just came in from “shoveling” moving 2 inches of water off the one inch of ice that has been here since December. The ground is still frozen not not many places to move it to. And had at least an inch of snow on me by the time I came in. Could wring out my parka. The winds are supposed to increase to 40 mph by this afternoon so am sure that could cause some power outages. Hopefully not!
Enjoy your shopping. Enjoy no shoveling. Spend. Spend. Spend! How many more suitcases has Sandra bought?
Hi Claudia!! We are both sitting here on a frigid 70 degree morning shivering…oh boy do we feel like wimps!!! It sounds like we really did pick the perfect time to go. No one from the Pacific NW has written recently so I’m hoping the ark didn’t sink from all the rain. It’s been terrible there too.
Heading out to the Hill Tribes, mountain and waterfall views and the Hmong craft village too. We should have lots to tell!!
Hi Sandra,
I don’t get by to your blog as often as I’d like to anymore but thought I’d tell you how much I like your praying mantis photo. A few months ago my kids actually had one as a pet. They had fun feeding it crickets and the occasional spider that wandered into our house. Not a sight for the faint of heart to watch a praying mantis catch and eat its prey.
Can’t wait to see all of your beautiful photos when you return. I’m sure they are fabulous. The weather was nice and decently mild today in Washington. There was even sun most of the day!
Hello Gena..wow what a wonderful surprise to see your name here!!! That praying mantis rocked. He was one of the biggest ones I’ve ever seen and was stalking and hunting like a pro!
Thanks a bunch for stopping by …will have some fun pix to post when I get home
What great fun you two are having!! Can’t wait to see the the unique items when you return. Your Chow grandchildren had a fun weekend in San Marcus this weekend and the show went on in spite of cold weather, tornado warnings, and mud in the show rings!! Breaker went breed over a male special, and missed a major by one point as one male didn’t show. Ellie went best of opp, and they both ignored the rain and were real troopers! Have a safe and continued wonderful journey!! I contained myself, but my heart was screaming GO China Rose!!! Love NM
They are good luck I believe. Sounds like you are having such fun!
